Welcome to 2nd Grade!
Teacher: Mrs. Angie Becker
From Mrs. Becker:
"My younger sisters and brother attended this school. They received a wonderful education and still think fondly of their teachers and experiences. I was offered this job during a very sad time for our family. My stepfather was dying of cancer. By accepting this job, I was able to be near my brother each day. The staff welcomed me and were so giving of their time, talents, and knowledge. The children and their parents were wonderful. I truly believe I was guided here through our loss to help me and my family through that difficult time. It was where I needed to be and continue to be now."

Some of the units of study in Second Grade:
- In Religion, we focus on the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist.
- In English, we spend a large amount of time learning about the four kinds of sentences, parts of speech, and writing in paragraph form.
- The largest unit we complete is on tropical rainforests. We spend the months of December and January learning about them. At the end of the study, each 2nd grader creates a diorama showing a scene from a rainforest and a poster board display about a favorite rainforest animal. These displays are presented during Catholic Schools Week.
